Simple 3-Step Process

How This Beginner LTC Package Works

This page is for students who already completed their Texas License to Carry (LTC) class, whether with TexasGunLicense.net or another provider, and now need both beginner handgun training and the LTC shooting test.

1
Schedule Your Appointment

Choose a date and time that works for you using the booking form below. You’ll pay the training fee online and bring your $20 range fee to D Gun Range.

2
Learn to Shoot + Practice

We start with beginner-focused instruction: safety, stance, grip, sights, trigger control, and live-fire practice so you feel comfortable and confident before the test.

3
Take Your LTC Shooting Test

Once you’re ready, you’ll complete the official Texas LTC Shooting Proficiency Test. Pass the test and your LTC-104 certificate will be signed and ready to upload to DPS.

Common Questions

Need a Little Extra Clarity?

Do I have to be an experienced shooter?

No. This package is built for beginners and nervous shooters. We start with fundamentals, at your pace, before the LTC test.

What if I took my LTC class with a different instructor or website?

That’s completely fine. As long as you have your LTC-104 (or will receive it after your class), we can handle your training and shooting test.

How long will my appointment take?

Most students finish the beginner training and LTC shooting test in about 60–90 minutes, depending on comfort level and experience.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to change your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. In most cases, 24+ hours notice allows you to reschedule without an additional fee.
